What the Hell is Day Bow Bow?: The 22 Songs-from-Movies-Challenge

There are certain songs that the second I hear them I can’t help but think about the movie they are in. So, inspired by that, I am offering up a challenge. Below there are 22 songs that I closely correspond with movies which I love. (Ok… maybe not ALL of them, but certainly most of them) Can you come up with the film I am thinking of?

Some of them are incredibly easy, but I think there may be two or three that will stump most everyone. In all of cinematic history it is possible that some of these songs have been used more than once, but I have a specific film in mind. There are three artists or groups who are used twice (Elliott Smith, Huey Lewis and the News, and Simon & Garfunkel), and there are five films that I included two songs from.

If you think you know the film that the song corresponds to, then comment below with your answer. (Obviously don’t scroll too far down if you don’t want them to be spoiled) Or if you have a song that reminds you of a film, feel free to chime in. Google is obviously cheating. I picked videos that didn’t give the film away but if you follow the video to YouTube you can usually stumble upon the answers. If one of the links does not work any longer let me know.

1. “Oooooh Yeah” -Yello (If you can’t get this one I feel sorry for you, and good luck with the rest)

5. “Wise Up” -Aimee Mann

  1. Some really good music here. I agree with what you say, most of the songs listed I think of the movie the second I hear it.
